New front brake shoes. Freed off sticky nearside calliper. Washed and polished.

Was yesterday as I've not got out of bed just yet. Changed the rear axel, didn't realise how bad mine was. Got the front one to do as they're different ratios so today I hope to get the front diff off the scrapper and ready for fitting. Anyone got any tips for the front diff as it don't look a couple of hours job like the rear was

Fitted new (to me) outside mirrors curtesy of Pete (lonerange)thanks, hopefully cured the water leek at the sunroof handle that developed in last weeks heavy rain (fixinf on the glass needed nipping up , likewise the bracket/bar secured to the roof.

Not mine but for Pete (Lonerangie), cut and welded a 50mm extention into his spare front bumper mounts on Saturday. Now his bumper should match the body lift.......Once he's moded the bullbar to allow the bumper to come up behind it.

I cleared quite a bit of ice on Beasty so I could go to a 9am meeting.

This afternoon, I was on my way home and came up the hill on the back road to my village.....and had some fun on the wet road...POWER!! I had the back end out. Oh that was so much fun. :lol:

Washed it, hoovered it and sucked out most of splashy lane from the passenger side footwell :roll:

took the bus out yesterday 4 abit of gentle laning around the peak but excitment took over :oops:

which led 2 the center exhaust gaurd being torn off by a nasty rock that mustve seen me enjoying myself n deciding i shouldnt be!!! so a pair of 2"spacers have been purchased n will go on nxt sat all bein well :dance:

Yesterday i took the front axle of the scrapper and today im hoping to get it on mine, just finishing me cuppa then im of out into the miserable wet weather were i will spend al day under the motor on the cold wet floor :cry:

Realised my rumbling whining noise is getting bad. I am hoping its not serious. No wobble from the front wheels and does it in 2wd. My thoughts initially were wheel bearing but not sure. Might have to take it apart to see whats up

I broke mine AGAIN.

Blew the power steering pressure pipe apart. Was fun breaking it as I found a Forest track about a mile long that was open for logging. Left it in 2wd and pretended I was in a Mk2 Escort with a BDA under the bonnet... :mrgreen:

That's a bit extreme mate.
Why would you be happy about breaking it???

Oh, I'm not happy that it broke, I'd really rather is hadn't spat all the PAS fluid everywhere, but the fun part was enjoying the rwd element of the drivetrain, sliding around on the track between the log piles and making like Ari Vatenen (in my mind :lol:

). Looks satisfyingly muddied now, too after shoving the trailer around in the field and a blast into the woods.

New pressure pipe fitted, found another leak on the return pipe which has been sorted now, too.

I think (hope its not a placebo effect) I am feeling and hearing a smoother engine under load due to the 2 stoke being added :dance:

Too early to see any fuel difference yet

In my wisdom I tried to fix it,and it did not go well, :cry:

I have Manage to burn out the alternator and most of the electrics,it all stated when I tried to clean up the wiring looms,

So got it recoverd on a low loader today to go up to Richards work shop in Kiddy,but not looking good :roll:
