Drove mine to the local airfield (about 15 mins away) to watch my niece do a charity sky dive for the local radio station (Capital FM). Sadly though, due to strong winds her jump was postponed until 5th November, but...with £1,000 raised, she's gonna do it no matter what! :drink:

removed fuel tank started sanding bash plates

inspected fuel lines for replacing

Changed the heater matrix (2.8 sport), not a bad job to do. Biggest headache is getting the hose clips off to allow removing of the hoses

, got it all back together including run up and cooling system bled

, just need to check the steering wheel is straight when the car is driving straight, wasn't before I took it apart. For anyone contemplating doing theirs it took me seven hours, that includes removing and replacing my coms module (I got CB, Satnav, Memory Map, auxillary light switches and anologue clock mounted in a module on the dash above the heater controls, takes about an hour to out and in).

Didn't take the steering column out as suggested in a thread on here, just took the wheel off, I did mess about removing the VX switches and taking the plugs off the back only to find that their wiring is incorporated in the dash loom that unplugs in both footwells leaving the loom attached to the dash, you live and learn :oops:

. Took the heater motor unit out as well bdefore putting the dash back in and took out half a bale of hay and leaves (I don't get that lollipop stick in the spokes sound effect anymore) :dance:

Turned the interior light on via the light switch, had the car 6 months and only just found it by accident. :oops:

Ive just this minute found out mine is not working :lol:

fitted roof bars and an xplorer roof basket ...tomorrow it's the rear , roof mounted flood light :mrgreen:

today i have mostly de-stickered the old girl.

watching the bloody rain washing off all the mud i collected from thetford forest :thumbdown:

Its just arrived here and is doing the same thing. Guy at the petrol station said the jet wash was broken. Probably didn't want all the mud on his forecourt. Will get the wife to go in and get a token in her car and then go back with mine. :lol:

My local Sainsburys petrol station has the cheapest jet wash. When I drive in they give me extra time so I can wash the mud away afterwards.

To be honest your only pushing two small wires through. I would find the grommet that the wires for the ECU go through and shove them through there.
