Whipped the EGR off as it was caked in oil. Cleaned out shed loads of gunk/crap sat it all in a bath of petrol, degreased and rebuilt.
Took some play out of the steering box. Was going to check the oil level in the G'Box but unike the B series I can't get a ratchet in there and I have't got a 24mm spanner.
Washed all the crud off it after ragging it around the forest yesterday

Use an extension and you can get at the gearbox nut :wink:

I did mate, my short extension is just a tad too long and it snags

Strange, mine fits fine an its the position

unless my extension is a slight different size? :wink:

I might be able to get it with my breaker bar as the head on the is shallower than my ratchet, I just couldn't be arsed to go and get it out of the boot of my car

Yes, the breaker bar is easier now you mention it, my spare ratchet is quite narrow, by the way do not over tighten the nut when refitting, I once cracked the box housing

In my defence it was about 50 yards away :lol:

And there is a slight slant to the path on the uphill return :roll:

Well i almost for got i had the 2.5 in for MOT today at 10am, Didn't think she would pass i haven't done anything to her in the last 12month. But got a fail on 1 side light not working and they changed it before going to print out the PASS slip. so another 12 months of motoring for me.

Finshed painting my bonnet at last :roll:

Fix my lights and spot lights bad earth :dance:

Switched them all on and all worked then the management light came back on :twisted:

I am so p1st of it's untrue,I think it's time to fook this truck off

Jas as long as running ok just stick some some tape over the engine management light and forget about it :wink:

You've gone this far with it Jase , I dunno why you don't spend £15 on a code reader :dunno:

I have Richard with all the stuff the code is coming back as low Voltage on the ECU :lol:

I have spoken to him tonight,I going to rent one of his new ramps for the weekend or two,and his going to give me a hand as well.

Going to take gear box back out,and do the rear crank shaft seal,and I will have a look at the wiring looms and clean them up ,as that's the problem,they are full of mud and crud,and then I am going to fit a 2ND battery with spit charge,for my light bar,power point in boot and winch :lol:

I don't suppose you remember the code do ya ?

I think it was PO14.... I can not remeber,but I can find out tomorrow :lol:
