WHAT YOU DID TO YOUR TRUCK TODAY!

Spent some time on the 2.5 today.

I decided to pull all the mats out only to discover that on the passenger side the carpet was soaked! But not to worry as someone has punched a hole straight through the floor with a screwdriver to drain it :lol:

The coolant level seems OK as my first thought was the heater matrix, so I'll watch it and see what happens.

Next I took it for a drive and it was as flat as a fart. Praying that my Dti code reader would work I hooked it up. 10 error codes. PMSL.

Cleared all those then a burn down the road and back for another code reading

Down to three now. Checked the MAF and the plug was just hanging in the hole, nice easy fix and off again for another burst up the road. This time there was a hell of a 'whoooooosh' sound when I gave it some beans. Had a look and the hoseclip on the air induction pipe had blown off. Sealed that back up and another run up the road. And back for codes read.

As I don't have AC I woun't worry too much about that one :lol:

Gotta say this old tub really does go like a train - way more get up and go than the Dti.

Only other problem is a very low clutch biting point, I'll have a look at that tomorrow .

Some how i have succeeded in pretty much killing mine this last few days, dont know what has happend but the drive train sounds awfull but drives perfectly fine :shock:

The Glitterball is back on the road.

I got to drive her to school today, first time for 18 months. :dance:

It was lovely to see her glittering in the sun in the school car park, and I think the kids liked it too.

Box, get the carpet and padding dried out as the ECU is mounted in the front of the footwell

I did give it a vacuum with the vax mate. I take it the ECU is mounted up under the dash in the passenger footwell mate ?

NO it sits behind the carpet. but right at the bottom of the bulk head almost touching the floor

after a year and a half she is finaly back on the road, mot, vic new v5, insurance and tax all done. :dance:

Oil and filter changed and props, steering idler and tie rods all greased, fluids topped up just got to tidy up inside the car and it ready to go for the weekend

BOX, the footwell is abt 2" shorter than the drivers side and you have to fold the carpet back to see it

And I cleaned the interior glass and rainex'd the exterior

Today i punched the speedometer because yet again it stopped working, I was going to wash and clean in and outside but lost the enthusiasm when it rained again.

removed sports back seat an passenger seat bolts then went out

Changed the gearbox and transfere box oil, resealed the rear diff pan and filled it with fresh oil. Found out the rear diff is pretty much shot it, will last ages i just run it too low on oil :oops:

put some molyslip in it bud

Repaired the blowing intercooler pipe, then pressure washed underneath trying locate the source of the world largest oil leak :lol:

Vacuumed all the water out of the passenger footwell and dried carpets.

bet your oil leak isn't as bad as my rear crank seal leak
