Finally (after 10 months of squealing from a slipping aux belt) changed the aux belt tensioner.

Started it up to complete silence (other than the usual diesel racket) for the first time since October last year :oops:

Drove it down to Newbury for it's vic check. About 52 miles with no tax disc and all legal :lol:

. Than sent my aplication off for my log book. :dance:

Attacked the BGL with the gas-axe and removed the remains of the side steps and spare wheel carrier (whilst Sally quenched with water everything I set light to! :oops:

)...
Refitted the manual hubs, as the allen bolts on the hubs had come undone again, locktighted them this time...

Took my mate Dazz from up the workshop down the woods to check on stuff/tidy and scared him half to death!
Care needs to be excercised on the new bits guys...they are a bit raw at the mo!

Fitted a new stereo in the B series, as the cd player was messing around on the wierd navigation radio that was in it.

on the way home from work yesterday I noticed a clicking coming from the front while negotiating a roundabout...so thought to my self "uuummm that's strange I'm not in 4wd, so it's not cv's..I bet it's a circlip.."

so popped of the autohub covers and what do I find?...nothing circlips in place, nice clean grease...

oh well...while i'm here i might as well strip them off, give 'em a clean..regrease and refit..then just before i put everthing back together i'll just check the wheel bearings..one was roughly 1 hole slack (on the ring) tightened up

result...no click on the roundabouts this morning, so hopefully thats fixed it..best of all it's free and only took 40mins..even done it in my "best" jeans and they are still clean

Gets a phone call in the morning, " theres smoke coming from the bonnet". All day thinking the worst. When I finished work opened the bonnet to find oil all over the exhaust. Does help if I screw the oil filler cap on next time!!

Same thing hapened on the wifes Astra. Half way home from Brighton and oil light came on. Pulled into the services and the smoke caught up. No visible smoke as I was driving 70 ish on the M'way but clouds when I pulled over. Topped it up and has been fine ever since. Did chuck some Wynns hydraulic lifter cleaner in there as well to be sure as it was a bit tappety afterwards. Now it sings like a sewing machine. Mind mine wasn't my fault. The cap rattled off as the rubber washer had fallen off meaning it didn't tighten.

Then Neal went into the VX dealers and asked for a 710 and they all laughed at him! :lol:

I am selling my truck, so I can buy some fuel for it :wall:

today i got boored in my lunch hour and i spotted some scrap metal at work so made this

and there is loads more there

and it is now painted and drying out side

Wokkamobile passed the MOT today. All it took was an oil change and a new horn. Didn't get charged for the retest - result!

Spent even more of Colley's time this evening :oops:

Today he helped me fit a fan over ride switch so I can keep her cool at the flick of a switch.

And lashed up a temporary side exit exhaust for the 2.8lwb...growls a bit more now , but too quiet so the particulate filter is gonna be winging its way to the frag when I next get chance...

cancelled her mot, due to her needing to new in cv boots, two bottom ball joints, while im there, might as well fit two new top ball joints, new front shocks,

Are you flipping when you reassemble...for much easyness of CV replacement (20 mins when flipped)...??/
