109p ltr for bio

The filter wil clog up due to sludgre apprently been cleared from pipes and cold start they are a bit rough when cold try adding bit of petrol or diesel

Yeah I will do mate. It was a bit iffy at cold starts before the changeover so I'm guessing the glow plugs probably need some attention.

filled up with 60lt of veg oil . 98% veg. 50p a ltr i prob get bio next time at 85p a ltr

85p for bio is cheap I'm paying a £1 a litre, although it is the proper stuff. My guy says that his is 100% rapeseed, no idea if that helps or not.

I reckon we've done about 140 litres of bio in the 2.5 so far.

If i had got 60 liters of diesel it would of cost me £82 scottish pounds

so £33 for 60ltrs is a saving even 60 liters of bio would only of been £51. Must say i feel the weight in tank i normally only stick 2 gallon in at a time now its horrible i will have to watch that guage go down to empty

Si pure rapeseed is not biodeisel its veg oil, bio is treated with filters and chemicals what you mention is SVO straight veg oil, just to clear up any confusion.

fitted a new filter once i got the effing thing off it was bit stuttery on daul carriageway that should clear it up was needin changed anyway, now going to head over to homeruks see how it runs

Well im almost out of veg oil and i can say the 2.5 can run on veg oil but does run well.
There was a loss of oomph, slow up hills real slow on flat aye but the acceleration is lost if you want to put the foot down to overtake . To sum up its ok on 100% veg oil if you do not want to go any where quickly go up hills apart from that it will run i will stick to biodiesel me thinks or do a mix

'Er indoors 2.5 runs as well on bio as it does on diesel without a doubt. Just love the smell as well.

I think I will mix it up with a bit of diesel when the weather really starts to get cold though (even though the guy reckons he puts additives in)

As i said i wanted to see the results for myself i never doubted the advice and warning i have been giving , Yes a veg and diesel mix will work better than 100% veg but again i am not responsible for anything that may arise from doing so.

Myself personally had good results from the bio diesel needed a couple extra heats in morning an takes little longer to start but it ran well no issues so far

how many miles and a what cost then

Put another 50 litres of Bio in. I think that's about 175 litres through it to date.

I bought a new fuel filtrer today think its clogged again another fiver down the drain still saved me money

Only changed mine once so far, but I have only had bio in it , non of the unfiltered chip shop special stuff :lol:

i think a tank inspection is on the cards check there is not fat. Aye i will be getting 30 litres of bio next time see if this guys any good

i have done 400 mile now on bio still running fine bar been in limp mode due me running it on pure veg oil.

it starts fine in the morning like normal

Diesel around here is 139.9 per litre. Bio is £1.00 a litre. Saving in a couple of months has been £159.60. Minus the cost of 1 fuel filter , Net saving = £151.60
