Got Sallys 2.8 shorty back in one piece and mobile again...and am well pleased with it...
While it was in bits, I "accidently" removed that 3tonne silencer that lurks underneath favouring a nice length of 2.5" tube instead, and whilst the down pipes were off I reversed flushed the particulate filter with the air line and removed loads of crud...
Warm up butterfly is a gonna, and with a new filter so the other end breathes better too the results are pretty impressive.
It goes really rather well now, much much much faster than my 2.8lwb which has a tweaked pump etc...and much faster than it used to go...
and it growls quite nicely (I think Sally liked the noise it made, although she gave "the look of disaproval" but this look disapeared quick to be replaced with a grin when it came on boost and took off!)
Its not noisier really, just sounds a lot more beefy now...
Just got a bit of welding to do on one sill, fix a diesel leak on the return pipe somewhere, a minor tweak to the exhaust and its ready for its MOT next saturday...
