It was a shame we didn't have the vac pump seal at hand ... would of been a doddle to replace it with the box off.

Bodged the tow bar electrics on my brothers LWB mu wizzard (red/silver) as he is on his way down to oakham to pick up a ford capri. so if any 1 see him give him a wave or some thing

adjusted torsion bars.lifted front of the sport.
found an oil leak i didnt have on wednesday.
tried to sort auto hub couldnt get circlip off ooh the irony

Cleaned out EGR,gaskets from VX,less than £6,messy job,got all the filters to service it,just have to wait on the weather and enthusiasm to do it!!!...........

had wee testdrive little bouncy but went ok even 4wd worked . so its off to drumclog in the morning

Stripped the front brakes (not been out since the annual meet) and removed the front anti roll bar.

Checked the rear pads and was shocked to discover that the mud at the annual meet had worn them down to about 2mm shy of the backing plates!

packed the truck ready to head off to the beach at ainsadale and it is sunny here at 7am so looking good for a start for the day

spent the day cleaning the front inside of the swb... had been a tow truck for a garage and was minging.... Coming up nice and clean, but using a lot of interior shampoo stuff... :roll:

Fitted my new radio and dropped my arial plug adaptor down my heater vent :twisted:

then followed by droppin my small screw driver down behind the dash :roll:

Looked out of the window at it through the howling wind and lashing rain, then thought sod it Im staying in :lol:

today i woke up and looked out side, nice weather, so me and fogman started to put my gearbox on. got it up in lace and over an hour of wiggling to get it to slide on nicely
and now it is all in and just need to put some oil in it then i will take it out for a drive, and this time i used loads of grease on the clutch release bearing

oh as well i found out that a coiler gearbox will fit onto a leafer so usefull to know

Pick up has left the building today

Ordered aux belt tensioner / solid state facet pump and fuel pipe for the Dti.

Now....are you gonna take the one you took out back to the breakers and tell em its the wrong one, and try and swap it for a set of wheels or something... :twisted:

i carnt anyway as they mark the box and there are a few differences between a coiler and leafer box, what hey would spot, since they are a specilised vauxhall parts place and i got 2 months warrentee.

and now filled up with oil and taken out for a quick drive and all seams good
