I started to repair my bonnet

Ahha rust spots on bonnet edge...next thing to do, a nice line of black paint across the leading edge when the rust bubbles have gone

What's not right with this truck

Yep good old rust spots, it's already been done once cost me £100 last time

But now its just going to get painted with hammerit now,it's rusting from the in side

Check to see if the leading edge is sealed, water must be getting forced in somewhere :wink:

Did a couple of the addvisories that were on me list. Sump plug leaking(loose) and fuel filler breather broken.

I think the old one had been FUBAR along time!!!

im hoping to mate, the only problem is if i put wheels with standard sized tyres back on its going to have a bit of a gap in the rear arch,cant really be :butt:

to change the springs again either, looking at her today i would think she would sell pretty quick :wink:

Wemt and booked the 2.8 in for MOT on thursday at 11.45, wonder if it will fail lol. Also started to sort out all the parts ready to fit the spanking NEW heads to the 2.5 as one of them has gone again

Done a bit of ordering for the Bus today as well...

Decided to bite the bullet as far as the dodgy handbrake goes, so ordered up new shoes & cables from http://www.buypartsby.co.uk.
Leaves me with a little spannering to do, once they turn up, as the new front shocks are in, and I want to do the other grumbly front bearing (might do both), bleed the brakes, and finally get round to fitting the poly bushes that came with the car when I got it from Weave :oops:

Should be all set then, assuming the squashed sills don't cause problems as far as MOT failure goes???

Made the decision to get rid of sport for a trooper

Put my tax disc in the windscreen,as it came this morning.

Get a 2.8TDI Frontera, all the benefits and a bit more power and no rusty chassis

i have chance of an 88 2 door lwb 2.6petrol for £100 been sat couple of years . i fancy a restore project and always liked early troopers i have thinking it over for a month. if chassi is good which it seems im taken it.
i would rather swap my 2.5lwb for a 2.8 lwb
