At long last gave the engine its very very long overdue oil and filter change. Bash plate removed without problem, sump nut undone, no problem - then the fun began - oil collector tank had a blocked vent hole so the oil was draining out the sump quicker than the collector could handle which ended up with a massive air-block which suddenly relieved itself spilling about a cup full of old sump over the driveway. With the assistance of cat litter granules and swarfega oil dispersant normality was restored.
Sunday is getting nearer - jobs are being ticked off one-by-one. Only seven minor matters to attend to.
