yesterday i took delivery on my new 2.0 swb a series :wink:

gave the dash a quick clean & gave it a hoover out much to the dissapointment of fudge who says its lost character now because of it

but i think after cleaning all that crap out of it its going to be lighter faster & higher :wink:

oh & fudge deliverd & fitted a set of full wrap round bull bars on it after a bit of red neck alteration with his high lift jack last night, bless him

found what was causing my spongy brakes, well it was drifty,

Took truck for MOT and it failed on rear off/side leaf spring and a rear bumper side light. Had a few advisories aswell.

sticker i fitted last week

got baby back from my local garage (a mate) took them 40 mins to get the dodgy stuck fast sparkplug out,it had been crossthreaded by a previous owner they reckon that the plugs only ever been changed once in its lifetime before being crossthreaded it was totally worn out,so thats the slight miss in the engine sorted

steam cleaned under the bonnet,polished everything then silicon spray to keep it nice.
K+N 57i kit fitted,sounds reeeeally nice now,makes a wee bit of improvement in the traffic lite derby.
hoovered out the inside polished up the shiney bits.
renewed the torn gear gaiter,mmmm real leather.
took osr bumper quarter off n hammered the dent out,satin black painted all the bumpers,tow hitch bash plates etc.
new rear number plate fitted as the old one the back had started peeling off.
use cutting compound on some tree/branch scratches.
swapped the rear brake/tail bulbs for some brighter smd/led type.
put some 130w bulbs in the spotlights,what a difference.
satin blacked the mirror covers as they were fairly well scratched.
new ign leads fitted.
redex in the tank.
new towball cover on.
got my cobra safari bullbar to fit.
clock led`s to fit.
bleed the clutch.
hopefully swap my 16" three spokes for a set of deepdish 5 spokes off a ragtop sport (anyone ?)
anyone got a spare aircon switch blank ?
and a stainless wheel cover to be sourced.
and after dinner :mrgreen:

Insured the stig this morning and just waiting for the policy to arrive and then its of to tax him hopefully before the weekend.

All the insurance/tax/MOT records are on a central database, now, so you can tax the car on the DVLA site :wink:

all on my new [well to me anyway ] a series swb
removed the side steps , removed the bash plate, stuck the new seat covers on, bent the damaged front wing back towards where it once was, removed the mud flaps, removed what resembled an air filter, ready for new oil/filter plugs & air filter :wink:
