Undersealed the chassi so it should be rust free it was waxoiled last week my hands are black.
Tank guard and heat shield fitted this time
healdlights indicators and grill fittes

Washed the last of the annual clay/mud off it. What the hell was in that stuff? It's a nightmare :evil:

. Also expecting MPG to improve after remove what felt like 1/2 a tonne of the stuff off crossmembers, sumpgaurds (the ones that are still attached) and chassis.

re-checked my timing and found it to be a couple of teeth out..that'll explain the lumpy running at low revs..all sweet now..think that the tensioner bolt had worked itself loose, letting it the belt slip a little. did feel what you could describe as a "kick" from the engine a couple of days ago.

Well over the last couple of weeks,I've fitted rear springs,exhaust,front bumper corner,tarted up the brown rusty bits!,welded rear wheel arch,new pads,stripped and serviced front calipers,and today...................................................... MOT..............PASS :dance:

Eventualy tightened the fan belt today (The squeeling finaly got on my nerves :lol:

)
Gave the heater matrix a flush out (lots of brown gunk came out but still no real heating)

Got the exhaust gasket now its pee down with rain

went out after doing the head gasket last week and it sounds like i have bent a valve as it is knocking like a bitch

Double check your timing buddy ... that could be the issue.

Oh and I replaced my windscreen washer pump as my plans for this afternoon were scuppered ... got a brand new one for my 21 year old Trooper off ebay for £7 delivered.

well if tomorrows plans are going the same way, i know a car that needs some work ratcav

and today i fitted my bucket seat,
so bucket seat and subframe for £10.99 :dance:

i think more than the timing but will see tomorrow when i take it to bits

Turn the crank over by hand and listen for any clouts. Probably easier to hear it with the plugs out.

Though I had Dan last night asking if I can help him change his rear crank seal .. apparently its leaking faster then the Exxon Valdez at the moment. I weighed the options up and oil leak ranked higher on list of things to change than tired clutch. We are doing it on the weekend before the woods weekender down at his in Cambridge.

going to try that out as i think it night have jumped a tooth or two as well since it was pt back together as well

Entirely possible to jump a tooth if not tensioned properly.

I cleaned my EGR, was prity bad, but I expected it to be worse tbh.

yeah i know! :O it looks nasty in there lol, but that means removing the injector pipes and bleeding the system again and, well I'm to lazy lol. cleaning the EGR has almost compleatly removed the woble at 2k rpm, so Im happy
