WHAT YOU DID TO YOUR TRUCK TODAY!

Bought new springs ,hand brake cable ,crankshaft oil seal and clutch kit .Guess who`s going to be a busy boy this week :dance:

Fitted new upper ball joint to the drivers side as existing one was shot need a persuading tool tho to crack the castle nut off (thanks andysd1) fo the long bar :twisted:

also experimented with hammerite satin black by brush on my spare wheel ina view to painting all the wheels.... did not go well :oops:

thankfully it has a cover i will be using rattle cans to do the rest i think

I took the crank pully off mine to see if its the crank seal thats gone or the sump gasket. Its the crank seal, so Im off to see how much Vx will charge for that tomorrow, and if they have it in stock maybe fit it tomorrow night. Then I'll start looking into my rear axle rattle....joy upon joy! lol

Technically not what I did today but the garage.
Very apprehensive as it was MOT day, only a couple days after it's thrashing at the annual meet!
Had done the jet wash on the knees bit already so it was a bit cleaner, but needn't have worried only front pads and headlights adjusted.
Other than that it flew through, how good are these cars!

Today i bought some sheet metal 1mm x 2.5m x 1.5m from metal place cost £9 that will do for the welding needing done on the sport.
I aslo jumped down the mot garage and booked an MOT for the lwb tomorrow at 5pm was earliest time he had. I aslo get some fence panels delivered tomorrow so it shall be a long day .
I also had a quarter pounder deluxe from Mc Ds for lunch not relavant to this thread but just thought would share

I finally got round to wiring up all the nice shiny new lights on the Big Red Beastie and i admit the new sidelight angel eyes look ace but my camera can't get a good shot of them but now all the spots and fogs work

also removed the rest of the airbox and piping to wing and secured the K&N to the old mount

Waiting on the mot damage results if its low i get a new mig welder if its high im kicking the cat

I'd kick the cat for the hell of it anyway :lol:

well yesterday..

Gave it a good wash..now in road going colours...just need to clean all that dust out of the inside now

renewed the insurance...fully comp £267 for the year, with sureterm..not bad for a liverpool postcode..(had a quote of over £1800 from one of the comparison sites..haha)

Fitted a new back box and tail pipe last night ... The old one wasn't too clever!

Had mine washed yesterday and what happen's it bloody well rains!!!!!!!!! :evil:

And i learned to weld thanks to my mate kevin for showing me the basics. i practiced on some 1mm sheet metal and i must say i can weld and never knew. I was so confident i welded a plate to my cracked back box for the sport i dont have pictures of my handy work due to a lost pc cable honest.

Kevin welded the corroded sill for with a patch he then went and swapped the headlight off the sport an fitted them to the lwb thats the lwb ready for it mot retest now. The issue with the lwb headlight failing the mot was the beam pattern had a look an both the headlights have a white smokey like fog on the inside of the glass.
I now have a mig welder of my own and can weld i have the sports sills to weld an the side step i will be getting plenty of practice
