got it back from mate he used it to tow a caravan

I squeezed a nut into that gap and bolted my old bars on, but I dont have them anymore as didnt like them :lol:

all you need is a little tack on it, so 1-2mm welding rod in there on a nice stick set, and there you go

Drilled out and re-tapped two snapped off bleed nipples (rear brakes) completed the front discs, pads bearings and seals change, ready to be bled tomorrow :dance:

Done the front seat mod that someone posted on here some time ago. Removed seat and wound a 1" ratchet strap across the bottom of the seat packed it with a couple of pieces of cardboard and it took all the sag out giving a much firmer and higher seating position.

Prepped my sills for welding tomorrow (hopefully). :lol:

Gave it a good service, and beat the rear diff cover plate back into shape with a big hammer after noticing the rather large pool of diff oil on the garage floor :oops:

Really need to get me one of those diff protectors

Got peeved off with digging the veg patch over and managed to get this off free cycle. Didnt work when I picked it up (previous owner muttered something about it needing a whole new set of points and ignition coil etc). Got it home, expanded a can of degreaser on it and gave it a proper going over with the jet wash.

Stripped the hand starter off, adjusted the points, cleaned the plug, topped the oil up and then got the 1/2" chucked makito drill out with a cut down 1/2" socket extension well clamped in the chuck. Put the right sized socket on that fitted the starter clutch and turned it over with that for about 10 mins to just clear the cobwebs out. It then fired.

Put it all back together and gave it a go with the cord starter, fires first pull now

Had a quick go with it, works well. Just gonna get some new drive belts in the morning from halfords because the current ones are well past it and replace the two control cables and levers with some nice shiney new push bike ones as they could be better. Might even give it a coat of paint.

Result me thinks :lol:

Did oil change and added Moly slip with the aid of horses45 and did a bit of fettling on both truck's ready for the big weekend!!!

Oh no,drinks is going to hire a rotavator,better tell his neighbours just incase he gets carried away with it. :rotfl:

This is what I got done on The STIG! today.................................but I ran out of Mig welding wire before I could finish the underneath of the plate. :twisted:

The welding may look untidy but once its ground down flush and painted,it will not be seen but if you wack it with a hammer,the plate wont come OFF though. :lol:

Finaly got the tyres fitted to the front

I now have a full set of 5 spokes on it

Its just standard leafer 5 spokes and some michelin alpin tyres that have been sat in the garage for 6 months or more waiting to go on :oops:

Fitted a bash plate fixed oil leak

Put front on axles stands the backs are on ramps very dodgy but it not moving. Waitin on friend to weld sill and tank guard then i can get on with waxoilin it.
