Renewed the brake fluid on the big red beastie big thanks to Gazeddy for helping out and supplying mega quality Super brake fluid and to Andysd1 for his excellent Supervising :lol:

mind you he did help bleed the clutch, tried to swap the clutch slave cylinder with one off a sport only to find that they were 2 different parts :shock:

so cleaned mine up put it back on but still leaking :cry:

so milners will be getting a call next week and i'll be parting with £20 :roll:

Bedtween the showers nippedd out to see if there was enough pressure to clean the underside in readiness for waxoyling, but no, looks like the power washer will have to be retrieved from the shed.

think I killed it...

severe loss of oil pressure @75mph on the M62...loud knocking from what sounds like the top end (no overheating mind) loads of white smoke from oil filler cap..timing belt still in tact, but possibly seized the block (no oil visually in water) me thinking oil pump gone..hoping that the crank, bearings and conrods are still serviceable..won't start now, so not confident..

bottom strip down beginning tomorrow, rain or shine..

oh no great big hole in block or sump..

engine and box here, all be it the older engine,

Well I washed both cars, the Fronty actually saw shampoo for the second time in nearly six years :lol:

took rear diff cover plate off gasket glue it up & new oil

Bought something for one of them

in between, rain dinner and friends popping around..

in relation to yesterdays possible oil pump failure..

took rocker off...no oil what so ever..
plugs out...pistons still look like they are connected..
rad out...no oil visible in coolant
oil drained..no water visible in oils, normal ammount of metallic particles no big bits
sump undone and lowered alittle bit (ie not right off yet)..visual inspection and i can't see any big bits of metal, and the con rods still look attached..
Timing belt off...cam still moves and looks straight..
crank still wont rotate...think that the oil pump has locked up, or after a chat with Andysd1 the pistons have "welded" to the bore..

will have sump out along with oil pump tomorrow...

fingers crossed..

Today I have fixed my heated mirror switch once again!! :roll:

, chopped some more out of the arches on the front bumper, checked oil and water (all fine), and then started to clean up the garage. I have a set of Colleys rims in my garage that need painting - as we did a swap last week and I have some LOVELY pink gloss paint that would do the trick!!!!

Ive already undercoated them ready for their pink gloss

It will look like Barbie's fronty - just Colleys cup of tea!! :rotfl:

on that subject Jason, i have some pink leds for the dash, we could drop them in with out him knowing,

Well the weekend was a pain in the :butt:

. Started on saturday doing the rear wheel bearings on the Golf, to find out that the passenger side brake cynlinder had gone putting brake fluid all over the shoes.Got a cylinder from my little village motor factors for £15. Sunday went to Frauds and nope they did'nt have any brake shoes got sone from a motor factors miles away. All fitted and hand brake ajusted up correctly.
Then my attention turned to my truck. I had accidently kicked the plastic cover over the number plate. (Oooop's) Thanks to my mate Horses45 i got one to fit in its place but sod's law the bolts on mine snapped so drilling and welding in new ones was the only opption. That is now complete and looking good. Then took a look at Chrissy's truck and that defeted me! Bloody central locking.
So all in all im glad to be at work for a rest!!

well, yesterday I filled him up to the very top with petrol, chucked the dog and the cat in, and drove to Gloucester, as i am living here for a few months, moved for work stuff, they help with rent and the like, so rented somewhere down here. Then once I got here, did npothing but complain about how much petrol he had used :lol:

had her valeted by the turkish car wash. looks good cept they couldnt get all the sap of my bonnet

i ripped my drivers seat out of the fronty and repaired it on the week end the elastic support snapped under it this was like it when i brought her now she's as good as new

today i put it in for a retest for the mot, and this time it passed,

and then taxed it, so now has a fresh 6 months on it
