today i switched my wheels over again, to get ready for a nice trip to scotland on sunday, and put in an elecy fan on the front of the rad. all i need to do now is get some heavy duty wire and switch for it :dance:

You would do better running it through a relay mate :wink:

To be honest I have had plenty of madly painted cars. I think this time I will try to get her back to original spec paint wise. She is officially Ivy Green Mica which looks smashing in the sun. I even got an airfed spray gun in preparation. Just need to figure out how it works.

Cheers lads ... will take you up on that. I know about all the prep that needs doing ... just recommendation on laquer, thinners and proceedure. I know a few places in Norwich to get supplies so thats sorted

I have some lovely "Day glo" lime green.
It's a wierd paint as you don't add thinners to it....you have to boil it :shock:

(we used an ally box full of water and a kettle element fitted to it, sit the pot of paint in and wait 5 mins)
I also booked her in for MoT, now roll on Wednesday to see what she fails on :lol:

I think I will skip the day-glo green this time ... errm cheers for the offer??

replaced cross threaded stud on osr pulled nsr half shaft out to find whats leaking and its the hub mounting flange thingy been smacked by someone in the past

Did 2" suspension lift on Chugga. No shocks fitted though (long story). Pick-up conversion half done (roof off, but bulk-head not complete) as we ran out of time (and day light). BIG THANX TO DAZZA FOR TRAVELLING ALL THE WAY FROM DRIFFIELD. TOP BLOKE !! :drink:

well i did intend to fit the exhaust manifold gasket today even though manifold has a crack in it (getting welded next week) but got dragged round Hellfrauds for some new tools :dance:

to help with the job so can't really complain so i'm gonna tackle it mondayt instead when rest of the exhaust system arrives

Get yourself a Haynes, an oil drain can from Halford and a filter. Will save you a fortune in 6000 miles time

Tucker, place a big plastic sheet under the car, or drive the car onto it, then start your oil works. Its good at catching the odd nut or bolt that drops too, then when finished, roll the sheet up - job done.

Forgot to mention what I did today :lol:

Tracing a rattle from r/o/s hub to a bit of grit which has managed to find its way into the hub cap. Wheel off tomorrow to cure it.
