If your looking for good MPG don't discount the 2.2 DTi. I think I get over 35 MPG.

Transglobe is just trim level, slightly higher than standard. 2.5 is verry loud, sounds like tractor lol

Well, maybe not here - http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=hQvTlfmoE4g

As you know petrol engines and 25-30mpg on motorway isnt that bad for 2 ton truck I would go for it..

On 2.5tds you should get around 30mpg too? But remember that diesel is slightly more expensive too

Thanks again Paul

But now Huwwalford says you can get the 2.2 DTi :oh yer:

Looks like i will be on the hunt for a 2.2 16v unless someone says the 2,2 dti is super cool and never brakes down and will do 37mpg

Here same Transglobe, but fitted with 2.5TDS

Late N regs up to T reg (be aware that some P regs can be fitted with older dash), so always just look inside!

Sorry.....I didn't realise you had discounted the 'B' series

Have you tried Autotrader, it allows you to narrow down your search options..... http://www.autotrader.co.uk/

A series mk1 from 91' to early 95' with leaf sprung rear end. 2.0 and 2.4 Petrol available and 2.3 diesel.

A series mk2 from 95' to 98' with coil sprung rear end and new engines in both petrol and diesel. 2.0 and 2.2 Petrol available and 2.5TDI and 2.8TDI Diesel. 2.8 only ran from 95 to 96 I think.

B series from 98' to 04' with new shape (still easily recognisable as a fronty though) with more rounded body. Addition of a 3.2 V6 Petrol. Diesel options are 2.2TDI only I think.

Both are very capable vehicles and quite reliable if maintained properly. A series is easier to maintain due to less electronic gadgetry.
Im sure people will fill in the bits Iv missed.
I also drink Port and I'm not ashamed to say it!
