today i took my second fuel tank out of the cradle and found out the extent of the rust in it, not as bad as my one at the mo but 4 big bits, now only got 2 holes left.

but i have a plan for thoes, and to renforce it even more then i can switch them. as mine is really roten.

and a note to everyone if you can remove the cradle some time and cheack the inside for rust, as they seam to rust form the inside out, so when you see it, it is a bit too late.

as for my lil plan, it is to fiberglass the our side and inside, hen to put a holey mesh into it on the bottom to add some more support. as well it should nto rust any more then

well the main tank is plastic, so no problem, it is the metal cradle that it sits in.

but i have mine covered since i have got anotherone to work on then i will replace it with mine

Quite a bit. I refurbed my front brakes and replaced the metal plates with fresh new pads. Also made up some proper fitting EGR blanking plates. Also made a spare which I will use to attach a boost guage to.

Also as she broke it she was ordered to fix it. The coil pack on the wifes Astra gave up the ghost. So Chloe replaced it while I worked on my truck. I talked her through it and all in all took her about 15 mins. She came back from the test drive grinning like a cheshire cat all chuffed with herself saying "I'm a mechanic now" lol

send her over next weekend mate cos ive got an inlet manifold i need stripping & checking :wink:

i gave it a wash, more dirt and grime i have ever seen,

dont even want to tackle the the inside, bloody Harvey, hairs and chewed up things,
