wow, in the first picture it looks like yours has given birth

New battery and a 4 new glow plugs...starts lov-erly now

Also fixed a rather worrying fuel leak coming from the rubber cap on the top of the front injector which was spraying diesel all down the side of the block and over the top of the filter :shock:

fitted my url sticker's from tom plus bash plate from krusher

Yesterday actually. I took Beasty up to Drumclog for a spot of off roading. She performed AMAZINGLY well off road. All the way to the end...when I got stuck in the mud run. See ling below for the pics and vids...

I thought I would get my manual hubs fitted today (cheers Colley), went out got the N/S off and the new one on. Then all of a sudden
it went really dark so now I have one manual hub and one auto. Hopefully I will have a short day at work tomoz and I can do the other side.

Also got my boy Sam out to earn some pocket money by cleaning and vacuuming all the mud and leaves out from the picnic last week......

We can finish them Saturday if needed Kel :wink:

Did my N/S CV boot. Was still quite a lot of grease in the joint and not too much dirt so hopefully all's still well in the joint

Something wrong here I think.....

New thermostat, rad flush and i have decent heat inside for the first time since i have owned the jeep :party:

plus the temp gauge moves to half way (hope taht right) never seen it that high before

fitting new back box

done a bit today!!
removed the middle sump gaurd and cleaned off and given a couple of coats of fresh paint,
been to get some new bolts to replace them silly torx head things i removed,
got six galved bolts with 17mm heads for £2.50 thought that was good,
changed the air filter & oil filter and oil while waiting for paint to dry,
got to say the oil filter on the 2.8 is a pain to get at for removal :evil:

still all done with fresh oil and a nice painted sump gaurd re-fitted...
got to find another job to do now

Removed the Intake manifold which revealed badly cracked gaskets. :evil:

Obviously the reason for some eratic idleing and over revving through all gears. So now needing to sort some replacements asap. After that decided to get a little dirty and wire brush the chassis and suspension, gave it a good coat of KURUST and sprayed it with Hammerite. So starting to look like new underneath

Almost ran out of diesel. Must have been running on fumes on the way to the garage. :oops:

Found my rear tyre almost flat, so I examined it and found a screw wedged between the lugs. Pulled it out, let air out and put in a piece of tyresealer rubbercoated string. Took me 20 minutes including cleaning up. Nice :-)

Steam cleaned boot carpet then gave the whole car a damn good clean. 4 hours later .....
