The seal may be okay, if the split is outside as if I remember correctly they are double skinned :wink:

Was getting annoyed that whenever I turned right the towbar electrics warning buzzer would beep. It's been like that for 2 weeks , so I finally decided to have a look as I was starting to stop indicating when I was turning right as it annoyed me so much :lol:

. No idea how I did it but the towbar electric socket was rammed with mud and water (even though the flap was tight shut) which was obviously causing the problem. Filled it with WD and blew it out with the air line. No more beeping :dance:

Took my baby into the garage to get the brakes looked at. Found out rear pads were well worn so looks like gonna have them renewed. He hopefully will cure the need to "pump" the brakes to get them to work.

Pumping the brakes sounds more like air in the system mate, not brake pads.

Yeah I know. That what he said...but they need done anyway. They're WELL low.

took her out for a 20 mile run to keep her up & running as shes been sitting on the drive for a week or so since the snows been gone

Washed and polished looks nice and shiny

took the cylinder head off the fronty got to get it skimmed now. all because the frontera 2.2 love's new head gasket's

I fitted a new thermostat in the 2.8, I used a thermostat meant for the 3.1 Trooper rated at 85d Quinton Hazel 411, the engine heats up a lot faster, in fact the engine actually heats up now, where as before it would be lucky to touch the first white mark, it now sits nicely at just below the second white mark.
I am getting some actual heat out of the heaters now but IT still needs bleeding to bring it up a bit.

Prepped the 2.8 ready for a laning trip tomorrow, been ages so really looking forward to getting out

Yesterday I washed out my new (to me) motor and gave it the once over to see what jobs needed doing, not sure if I should mention what I got but it has a green badge on it :oops:
