Wow this is technical stuff but if it works this is what I did today but like I said, need bigger tyres. What would you guys reccomend? Dont want to mess the suspension up as use a lot on road but would like to use off road as well (when i get a bit of learning done at the novice day in Jan

didn't do a thing to the car. but ordered new water pump, timing belt kit, head gasket kit all for £111.99

Fitted two new cv boots as the sticky ones fell apart in the snow we had.
I used the slide a boot ones very easy and quick to do.
Just waiting for my new track rod end to turn up then i'm back on the road

Took the car up to a mates garage in St Helens and used him and his equipment :lol:

The transfer box out put seal to the front prop was leaking so we got it up on ramps and took the cross member off, then the prop and then that bloody nut, it was seized on solid, we had the windy gun screaming on it, then it nearly broke my finger, in the end we got the gas axe on it and after setting the seal on fire and burning the oil :lol:

it came off.
Then the seal supplied by Milners was the wrong one :evil:

so we had to botch a seal up, not sure if its worked or not until the morning, but 4wd is a lot quieter and no grumbling noises.

So as a back up I have to source a new seal, at least I know the nuts will open this time :roll:

Next is a full strip down and rebuild of drivers side front hub, its always been a bit problematic with bearing, now its going to get sorted once and for all :lol:

Christ I hope not Chris, its a bitch to get that nut off, even after snapping the other nuts to get at it :lol:

Spent the day making a list of all the to-do items on the new car before I can head off for some serious bush jaunts, mainly boils down to:
-chasing an auto gearbox leak
-figuring out why TOD light keeps flashing and 4wd doesn't look to be engaging
-changing all fluids and lubricants, they tell me it was serviced regularly but can't trust that they bothered with diff oil etc..
-tracking down ABS issues

Really, really, really need to get more clearance. Will be firing off an email to Calmini about their 3" lift kit methinks

i got back to the carpark where i left my car yesterday and the immobliliser didn't want to turn off so i was sitting there at 11.30pm in a carpark rewiring my immobliser. took about 5 mins once i removed the pannels.

i was just hoping that no bill cam into the car park, cos it must have looked strange :roll:

Well I gave the cars a well deserved bath this morning to get rid of all that horrid road gime and grit, and also fitted the wife's new sticker to the back window! :dance:
