WHAT YOU DID TO YOUR TRUCK TODAY!

Finally got round to fitting the new brake cylinder on the back yesterday.
The only problem was that the brake pipe was stuck in the back :evil:

so we ended up changing the piece of brake pipe as well :roll:

Bled the brakes and topped up the brake fluid and found out that the other cyliner has gone as well :evil:

Oh well start again :lol:

Started to fit my CB in the truck, Ariel is fitted just got to find a place for the CB where it wont get in the way.

Jacked it up thought would find out where rubbing grinding suealing noise from brakes was. The rear brake pad had broken up and scored the disc on passenger side pretty annoyed as the brake pad was only put on 4 months ago n done less than 1000 miles yet the front one which have been on it since i got the fronty have plenty of miles on them. Know where im going on monday i only check one side i pulled bit out from between the cliper and disc didnt strip it so new disc and pads for rear

Fitted AVM Manual Hubs and 4 General Grabber's

Next weekend is brakes and service.

Checked for post-laning damage

half a small hazel tree snagged in the gearbox crossmember,a few more scratches & a smashed hub cap :oh yer:

but all things considered a small price for the enjoyment gained

i just watched mine freeze over again

Been out and starter her again :lol:

went into the boot got my little shovel and spread salt around our Close so the old dears dont slip, (me drunk really) then checked head lamp wiring

Oh and doors where iced shut, panic to get them open before the alarm went off, so white grease lightly smeared over the seals

ha ha i know that one 20 seconds to get in an turn off the alarm with a frozen door

fitted my new [well 2nd hand] front actuator & fingers crossed ive now a solid green light when engaging 4wd & no flashing light when i push to disengage so its FIXED AT LAST

just in time for the thaw

also unplugged the power sender for the time being, ill take it out in the warmer weather & then smash it to bits with my sledge hammer, its been driving me round the twist :wink:

all in all ive enjoyed owning a frontera again today :dance:

its stillearly winter so plenty of time yet
