fixed the radiator with that steel putty,(cheers drift) twin fans installed, (still on a temp switch)

plans this weekend are, sort the fans out, and maybe just maybe a 2" body lift

relocated number plate to door with light
replaced top rad hose, old one was very worse for wear
removed sai pump and wondered if it could be modified to pump up tyres

found out i need a new engine

Ged, oh wise one with no ears decides with a cheapo inline heater he can run straight filtered used veg in it no matter what the temp, I told him 4 weeks ago to go 50/50......noooo tight arse new better :roll:

anyway, he has waxed his pump
So we change the fuel filter prime it with injector cleaner, I notice the lift pump is sucking to the filter but nothing to the injectors (self bleeding on the 2.9) all the lines heated and a few air bubbles.
He went gung how with easy start, nothing so stopped that sharpish.

Verdict is a waxed pump and some constant heat but not so much as to damage the pump seals and associated pipework.....
I know more about that bloody cars pump than mine, tell you what its the simplest fuel pump you could ever meet (and the owner :roll:

cant you run a fuel pipe through the cooling system to a tank in the back i saw an american car use it. He basically ran the cooling pipe round the tank an into the system an had a fuel pipe inside it.it kept pipe warm an fuel warm without over heating the oil

Tight arse would have to pay for the pipe, did I mention he was tight :lol:

To be fair he is skint at the moment, but with plans :wink:

seen some intresting ideas on the old veg oil conversion a guy up used the by product from a chocolate factory for fuel there is a kit for 400 quid for the ethnol conversion
