Well that looks like that was a success. I've just calculated the MPG and it looks like I got 38mpg on the way home. I don't know if this is completely accurate as it seemed that the pump in Norwich filled the tank a bit further than normal as the gauge went up much higher than usual. I'm not sure what the mileage was on the way up but I seem to remember it was 117 before I zeroed the counter in which case I only got 25.4mpg on the way up. I think that might be wrong because of the pump filling the talk higher than normal in Norwich. However, I reckon there is an improvement in MPG but I'll not be able to tell that until I can do a run with a refill at the same pump at the end.
On the general running I think I noticed it more at the beginning and end of the journey which sort of reflects what I said as we drove up the hill outside Neal's house. I think the biggest difference is the acceleration as there just seems more power in the lower gears when I'm in town.
However, here's the thing. (And I'll start another thread about this as it's weird.) For some reason I can't turn the electrics off. When I turn the key back the the last position the clock stays lit and the radio stays connected. I'll not give the details here as it really deserves to go in the electrics section but I don't understand it. I'm pretty sure we didn't touch anything electrical apart from me disconnecting that alarm horn which I've tried reconnecting and it made no difference. (Here's the thread I've started in the electrical section:

Anyway, thanks again for all your work guys and let me know when there's a camping weekend I can make it to.
