Took tessie for a nice long drive up to the midlands today, said hello to a newbie on the forum then drove to swadlincote to visit family.

Put the lower cowling back on after fixing/bodging the clutch pedal. Found that there is a vent in the middle of the cowling, useful to warm nuts in the winter I think. Thats if I get the thing back on the road by then!

Did a few lanes around Ravenstone and spent 4 hours trying to get unstuckafter a slight mishap :oops:

For the first time in a while I was home alone for about four hours today, so tinkering was in order

First up was replacing the air con compressor with with a second hand one I picked up last week, this was followed by nipping up and re-greasing the front wheel bearings to remove the play, I then checked and topped up all the fluids, checked tyre pressures, and hoovered out the inside.

The wife got home just as I was washing my hands and promptly sent me out on an errand. I was most impressed to find the whining bearing noise has gone, just left with the noise of the V6 :dance:

Just need to get it re-gassed and oiled before we go to France in a couple of weeks.

Now time for a :drink:

I washed and t-cut the 2.8 :shock:

It does get washed fairly regulary but it has never seen polish or t-cut since I've owned it, took me most of the day as well but it is looking loads better, still got a fair few scratches that are through to the primer though and its fair share of scabs that need knocking off and painting

Next week its getting a pair of chrome steps :oops:

just dropped my mum off in Abergele so having a chill now in the shed making stuff

took the head of the 2.5 last week had them skimed mid week finished it it today with me dad what a pain in the but that exhaust manifold is

Walked up to it with the flywheel in my hands and saw the size of the waspnest between the front door and the windscreen pillar.
Discrete 360° spin and put flywheel back on bench. :idea:

Replaced the center exhaust box, I did take this out but Mrs Quiteone :twisted:

said It was just to loud, so after constant ear bashing
I relented and fitted a new flexi section with box.

Also fitted new water pump, Thermostate, cleaned all crude from the viscous fan and reset the timing when refitting the cam belt
(Amazed that this was out, seeing as it was done at dealership on last service :roll:
