Fitted the bullbar and lights after a careful rust treatment and a fresh spray of paint :-D

Then drove happily off to catch some cool pics -- and got stuck, grounded heavily in the mud. I was very lucky that an old merc with some drunk kids came by the quarry to have a smoke. They were happy to help me out with a long length of rope. A pity they came by immediately after I got stuck actually, I didn't get time to take pictures until I was out :lol:

So much for the photo shoot :roll:

Here's the hill with the truck safely back on horizontal ground. You can clearly see how three of the wheels have been slipping, puddles marked with red. The fronty drivetrain wouldn't give up until I was safely grounded :lol:

I have learnt a few things today:
A - never go photo shooting on you own.
B - need better tyres and more ground clearance.

Fixed my front fog lights for the 100 time :evil:

bloody things,fixed my light bar lights,had a lose wire,then one of the relay packed up :evil:

gave up went in doors, job for the weekend

Taxing your car by phone is easy, specially when you cant find the correct paper work to take to the post office :roll:

............ But found the paper work now, it was in Gracie all the time :oops:

Bobby sorry to hear your fronty failed its MOT

Not so much what I did to the car today more what the car did to me :shock:

Driving home from work I decided I fancied a blast up the motorway (just one junction) so at Switch Island I was joining the M57 from the A59 and you have a left bend at a set of lights, the lights where in my favour so middle lane and plodded through. Now on this bend there is an adverse camber and Im always wary of it, today it bit me :lol:

There are a lot of wagons on that route coming from Bootle docks and Im guessing one spilt some fuel or something did as I found myself gliding up the start of the motorway sideways :shock:

the front broke away and I managed to steer it back then the rear broke away, by this point I thought it was a blow out, so now Im travelling sideways the other way, I must have looked like a ballerina on the road :oops:

I powered out of that and continued normally with a slight wiff of poo in the car :oops:

Glad your ok Ste. Thats exactley what happened to Chrissy in the Merc but she was'nt so lucky and that got wrote off.

As I said Im always ready for the camber in the lifted truck is fun on its own, but add fuel to equation :shock:

just as well I was ready as it could have been worse, just went into auto pilot, all those years as an professional driver suddenly came back :lol:

Ive never even had that with snow or ice.

So...Im off to Switch Island for another go :twisted:

finally got chance to try andysd1's idea for the airbag light so got under the front seats unplugged both pre tesioners give them a blow out re connect and started her up and what do you know....... airbag light goes out :dance:

repaired a breather pipe that was spilt with Keith kind advise found and sorted

Fixed a rotted fuel pipe near the fuel tank, replaced a missing bump stop on the rear suspension, removed the bloody great lump that is teh rear tyre carrier and bunged the spare back on the roof.

Back end looks higher already, but that might just be in my head

Well ive managed to do a bit more on the old boy today. Had to cut the other side out and put in another plate. Found another hole that the mot tester did'nt find! Damn!!!!
Anyway here's some piccies.

Hey Bigdazz, is your wiring not up to much then? I assume your not confident about it, the amount of fire extinguishers you have there....
