Well I finally started working on the Rover to get it ready to get me up to Bala!
First things first and I put the battery on charge.
This, rather fortuitously, gave me better access to the speed sensor which needed looking at due to a lack of indication in the cabin. I think I found the problem. Someone has sliced a new connector into the loom using a choc block! No tape or anything to keep the elements out. Just gotta hope that the cruise control circuit isn't hasn't been damaged too
Next it was onto the temp sender. Again doesn't seem to be any indication in the cabin. Tried to earth it off against the block but nothing happened. Then remembered that the ignition wasn't on............... Then remembered the battery was on charge
My last job of the day was to take off the aux drive belt. This had been damaged due to being incorrectly fitted. It was out by an entire grove and had been rubbing on the block causing some smoke and a horrible smell.
Wont be able to play now till Tuesday, but at least I've made a start
