Snow Watch

we have about 4 inchs of snow. but no fronty to play in it.

9" in Evesham roads are blocked :shock:

I will be dropping out meals on wheels later,that's going to be fun,and i have just had my engine management light just come on to say hello great :oh yer:

had about 4-6in here this morning. I managed to get 10 meters away from my driveway when I saw the driver of a BMW estate spinning like a crazy man trying to get out of my road (has slight incline). Misses tells me to help him. So I get out and say "you know where you towing eye is?" reply "errrrrrrrrrr" me "ok it's probably in your boot do you have the manual" him "errrr manual?" I found the cover on the front bumper and asked if he had screwdriver to get it off, what does he bring me? a tesco clubcard on a keyring :roll:

, at this point I go to my fronty and grab a screwdriver just to save the grief. By this time he's found the towing so I pulled him onto the main road and then came across another stuck BMW estate so offered them help, they tried to find the towing eye in the depths of their boot but no luck so I just borrowed the one off the other guy i'd rescued as he'd got stuck again lol.

I saw an audi stuck on a hill going no where I pulled up and spoke to them but the road was slick as hell so there was no way I was going to risk it. They tried ragging the arse off it again so I told them just to go backwards onto the road below but they still tried to go forwards, at which point a Prius going down the hill to fast doesn't stop and ploughs into the front of the Audi luckily only just caught the rubber bit on my bumper so no damage done. After they swapped details I stopped the traffic and the audi smoothly reveresed down the hill and turned onto the road, why do people turn onto a hilly road and insist in trying to get up it because they just end up in more trouble.

I had my lidl boots and gloves on and they kept me nice and warm :mrgreen:

we have had some snow too had to jump a few cars and taxies this morning getting cold -4 at moment

if i am not mistaken, its the first real time i have had to use my 4x4 system

As usual , bored on a Saturday so grabbed one of the daughters and went for a drive up the mountain. There isn't much snow but it's frozen and like an ice rink

The views ain't bad either

2wd wasn't a smart move. Ended going sideways and smacking into the verge

middle of nowhere, on our way to the forest.

Went into Southport to finish off the Chrimbo shopping. Only used 4wd when the back end started getting a bit happy. Put several chelsea tractors to shame as they discovered that having 4wd is all well and good, but when you have low profile road tyres you're just as knackered as everyone else :lol:

I had the bestest vehicle in town until a couple of the West Coast 4x4 lads turned up in thier monsters

Of course, before I could drive it I had to clear this lot off it...

we got rubbish snow nothing like last week seem its englands turn again love the picture guys

Andy and me where doing our good deed last night, for very little gain I might add but we didnt care

and tonight Me and the Mrs where waiting at the train station for a taxi we ordered after watching John Bishop in Liverpool, the taxi turned up, and asked me was I in a bloody big yellow 4x4 last night, I told him yes, he said he was the taxi driver who had the pensioners in the back and I told him to use second gear and gave the car a push, he said he felt lousy driving off but I shouted keep going, so he paid the debt tonight and left us off with the taxi fare :dance:

Well at long last the snow hit us. The roads are totally blocked in and out of town. Went out yesterday morning, but had to cancel everything last night.

And its now time to start the scrapping and get the beast out, as we have to go out today. Otherwise a land rover will be coming to us, and that just won't do!
