WHAT YOU DID TO YOUR TRUCK TODAY!

Nothing terribly spectacular, but...

In celebration of having Holly back on my drive, took her for a play in the jetwash, and then for a blat down the motorway, clear all the cobwebs out

New fluids in the engine, 'box and diffs, brakes all fixed n working properly, she is sounding nice n sweet now.

Got stuck then A.N.Other got her stuck then I got stuck again :oh yer:

Replaced cracked headlamp.
Fitted new fan belt.
fitted new water temp switch after snapping the pin bit off doing above.
finally fitted a new power steering pipe (old one has been weeping for the last 6 months or so).
popped in new switches for leccy windows.
then began clearing all the trash out, but gave up when I remembered that i had to nip and seal the back two sump bolts. Hopefully that will sort the annoying leak.
tried to workout why the rear demister and washer jets aint working..failed.
oh..nearly forgot one of the more important jobs I had to do today...

replaced the L/H engine mount with one that is nearly as old as the knackered one but in a lot better condition.

went for a spin and noticed that an awful lot of the rattles have gone now, so I bought a tin a hammerite for the sump guard.

Washed the mud off,now ready for BRF to buff the scratches out :wink:

Managed to get the swing away wheel carrier off the back and didn't have to remove the bumper to get to all the bolts :dance:

Jeez does it weigh something, got to be worth 2mpg at least :lol:

Took the new temp sensor out that I had previously fitted as the gauge still wasn't working, rubbed a bit of the sealant off and re-fitted, all works now. Too much sealant stops it earthing :roll:

Used a wire brush attachment for an my angle grinder and cleaned all the rust spots up, going to buy some filler for bits like the bonnet.

Oh how could I do it…..the shame of it….how could I live with myself.
I washed it. :cry:

Had to get the salt off it, the last time it was washed was before Bala

Gave up on the Trooper clutch conversion and took the Dam M°°°°° F°°°°°g flywheel to get bolted by my mate the bike collector ( I didn't realise he had 30 of 'em. All classics, French British German you name it and all mint. A Thruxton, like I had for a while, and the same colour T650 as mine was. ).
He's got a full on machine shop so it won't be cheap but it won't break neither; It's what he does for a living.
But at night when the workers go home he can do anything as it's his shop and he has built it up without loans so he's sailing through this current crisis as loads of folks are now wanting to repair rather than dispose and replace .
So ... as soon as I get a sunny day.....
It's been over a year since it went but money stopped falling from trees.
