Thanks drift,for the advice on the addative and I didnt know about the older car emmisions thing. It is getting a long run this weekend so early next week would be a good time to put it in.

Fitted new front shocks to the 2.4, the old ones were slightly worn, I pushed them in and they haven't pushed back out yet :lol:

Just wait a bit longer Jim and they will pop up, your just too impatient :lol:

ERM, it was miday yesterday I pushed them in and they still haven't moved, I think its safe to throw 'em out :lol:

Up date on Preditor. Managed to get the towbar off and the damage is 2 sheard bolts and a bent back plate. It was written off because they could'nt be botherd with an old motor. Good fortune for me!!!! :dance:

New plate has been suplied by my old mate Fuddy and got 2 new bolt from a local fastener shop, just got to weld the captive nuts back into the Chassis.
Then he's back on the road.
Due to the bl--dy weather not bin able to weld them in yet.

Watch this space!!!! :lol:

Captive nuts welded in and all back together total cost of repair £1.00 for the bolts.

Bargain.

Taken tow bar of today very hard as the bold was well stuck on :evil:

just got to put the new one on now :roll:

Didn't do anything to the truck today, however on the way home from work there was severe flooding and whilst all the little cars turned back i ploughed on through!!!! :dance:

Such a great feeling, makes me want to go fording now.

Its a real graet feelin when you go into the water and then have to pull someone out.!!!!!!!

I've been loaded with the flu since I got my coil spacers but today the rain had stopped and I felt ok so thought I'd get them fitted.

Followed the guides here and got the body lifted on axle stand, bottom shock bolts out, dropped out the near-side spring out and before I put it back with the spacer, I looked over at the off-side spring and something looked weird. Had a closer look and the top 3 or 4 turns of the spring has snapped off. :wall:

Large amount of sweary words later I bolted everything back together so I could get car in the garage, shut the door and went for a beer :drink:

Nobody near me has any springs in stock so looks like tomorrow I'll be hunting for some.

Thats a rare one :shock:

Today I hard wired a waterproof motorcycle twin accessory in on the passenger side for an inverter and I disconnected the rear window electrics as Im the only one normally in the car and Im fed up accidently opening the rear window :roll:
