Re: cambelt failureIf you havent got one, and its all timed back up on the belt, you could just try and start it. if its got low compression on one or more cylinders then it become apparant as they engine will appear to misfire like its got a lead off. You have nothing to loose really, you are highly unlikely to do any more damage than would already be done.

Re: cambelt failureHad a good go at the truck today, working under a fishing brolly over the engine bay
Ordered a new cam belt kit off ebay so will swap it all over and take her for a spin. Will flush the rad before the new coolant goes in an' all. So fingers crossed I've got away with it. Time will tell but feeling a bit happier now. Thanks for all the help and advice can always rely on good old FOG Someone mention laning? Just tell me when and where!

Work safe, and remember all technical problems can be resolved with a hammer, the trick is knowing where to hit it and how big a hammer to use (I often find it may also help to have a spare bit in the shed to replace the bit you have just mullered Work in Progress (or not as the case may be) I give you....
