I saw the aftermath of that crash on the flyover it was a BMW it hit the railings then flew into the concrete walkway the wall next to the Red Lion and the engine was ripped off and ended up at the roundabout 200 yards down the road with most of the suspension and as you say the rest of the car ended up dropping into the canal after hitting the wall, I saw it as I was on the opposite carriageway early that morning when I was a bus driver. The guy was coked up and at the speed camera before the flyover he was clocked at 120mph.
