109p ltr for bio

Longer term I am going to get the diesel pump on the 2.8 rebuilt when I do the engine, been speaking to Diesel Bob and they can do a full pump rebuild, tweak it for more power and fit new type seals for approx £225-

Chris, it may be worth getting the injectors recalibrated at the same time :wink:

I know WVO and Bio give slightly less MPG than DERV.
WVO seems to be available commercially at around 70p per litre but then you have the cost of 50, 20 and 10 micron filters and a few barrels for a very basic set up plus an inline heater for winter minimum.
With the cost of extra fuel filters and the alterations, I might stick to DERV as its not doing enough miles to warrant it

Wish the HDI could cope though :twisted:

All fuel in the uk must contain five percent bio fuel at least by legislation. It's rape seed oil thT is usually used.

Gotcha.
The lwb has been sitting since i last ran it. This morning i started it up. first turn started n died second trun fired up little smokey which it has never been but reckon that was just the fuel from first go. Was bit rough for first few seconds i just increased the revs which i do not like doing on any engine i prefer to let them warm up a bit first before applying power to let oil get going.
I drove it 1 mile to super market then drove home was running fine.
It will run on 100% bio on the first run i saved nothing due to needing new filter. I will continue to run whats in the tank before i decide the long term i dont know

117 miles on bio

i managed 200 miles on veg/diesel mix. i have now put 18ltrs of bio diesel in the tank today.
side effects only one rough idle from cold start apart from that runs great better mpg aswell

i run my old r reg terrano on veg oil out of tesco lol :dance:

she ran finme on it , it was never 100% tho ..... tented to keep it at 50/50 ........

i was in aldi today going oooh veg oil £1.19 a litr .
i will try run it on 100% bio till winter if i can

Well thats 38 litres of bio used and i had to add 9 liters of diesel as i had run out on motorway light was on but i ran it till it was empty again before filling up so sort of counts
