Just a couple of questions though, why did you pick a SWB over a LWB for the trip? Would you have found the extra room of use or would you have ended up taking too much gear? This posting may have been helpfull, on the other hand probably not... Either way, I may have had drink when posting it in which case it's probably not as helpfull as it could have been
Work safe, and remember all technical problems can be resolved with a hammer, the trick is knowing where to hit it and how big a hammer to use (I often find it may also help to have a spare bit in the shed to replace the bit you have just mullered Work in Progress (or not as the case may be) I give you.... Re: just got back.....yea thats right drifty,,,,only got the swb,,,,,,but i did the prep took only what i needed and traveled light so it was no real problem she performed well,,,,
overloading your truck is a big problem i see it all the time down here theres a place just outside the boarder called the sands and everyweek i see people loaded up with as much as they can carry,,,then you see the overlander travler who has just the right amount of kit,,,, should get a FOG trip up to morocco,,, ,,,,,get a few of you and i will take you down there,,,,,,,,now that would be good and you would love it,,, If im not spannering on the fronty,,,,,,,im spannering on the 101,,or in the hammock,,now bugger of and leave me to it,,,,,

Re: just got back.....ok just worked out fuel used and mpg,,,
we traveled 1159 miles used approx 42 gallons petrol or 185.5 lts so we averaged 27.6 mpg approx that was fully loaded and off road so i dont think that was to bad. cost 185 ltrs @ 10.7 dirram a ltr 1979.5 dirrams 1979 dirrums,,,, divided by 13 dirrams to the pound is approx £152.23 for fuel,,,not bad ehhh, If im not spannering on the fronty,,,,,,,im spannering on the 101,,or in the hammock,,now bugger of and leave me to it,,,,,
