What should i do?

Just checked my old clocks with the 3.2 ones and they are identical apart from the rev counter in the 3.2 goes to 7k rpm opposed to 6k rpm on my old clocks. If you can wait till weekend I will put them in mine and test them. As for the mileage all you have to do is take a photo of your old mileage reading and the new ones once fitted, contact your insurance and tell them you have had to change the clocks and write the old and new mileage on the top of your MOT certificate.This is what I was told to do by the dvla!!

Not worth selling as what you get for it and buying a new car you will very likely get something with far more serious problems, yours thankfully are pretty minor things, and I a sure the good folks here as has already been shown will help you in every way they can

update the bloody thing wouldnt start this morning let me down big time just managed to get it going now had to turn it over 11 times before it would fire up when it did it sound to me like it was missing to start with but think that the manifold blowing but its really kicking the smoke out

The clocks isnt an mot failure anyway. Mine has been through 4 mots without the dash working. Like it was said earlier, putting side lights on, with fans at full whack usually gets the rev counter working on mine, so from that you can work out what speed you are doing. Frontera speedos arent accurate anyway!! Another trick that can get it going is to hold in the odometre reset button for a while. this usually gets the speedo working, usefull for when you are passing a camera. Hope this helps.

neal the clocks in meezermums wont be compatiable for yours so your best bet is to pm the 2 members who are breaking b 2.2 frontys in the classifies section with reguard to the clocks & exhaust manifold cos you might get lucky :wink:

if not im sure the same manifold is used on some omegas so that would widen your search !

It sounds as if there's something amiss that needs attention far more than the gauges, if youkeep running it as you seem to be doing you will be a lot more than £50 short.
