Have you seen those bikes belt through the lanes though :shock:

I thought the TRF fella held his own against the tree hugger to be fair.

Certainly on the few occasions that I have been out on the lanes and speaking to the local council it would appear that bikers are the main culprits. Every time I go to the forest (via one of the lanes from Corwen heading to Llandegla) I see illegal bikes every time.

That semi tarmac lane that passes through the woods ? they are always there.

why is it always the negative side portrayed

. never the positive side, like the repairing of the lanes, walls, and trails. you dont see many horse riders and ramblers walking up lanes to repair them and it aint just us that use them. also, what happens when a rambler or rider gets hurt or stuck? what vehicle goes up there to get them out of trouble. if they had to send up the air ambulance everytime (which is charity run and lots of 4x4 groups donate to), then the helicopter would need changing every year :lol:

No-one ever says anything about the horse riders not cleaning up the streets after their horse dumps its load either.

and the farmers tractors dumping crxx on the roads. wonder how many been stopped with having no lights, bald tyres, and they get away with using red diesel. :lol:

I think there is a ruling that exempts agri vehicles running red or having tax within a certain distance from the registered premises

Maybe Countryfile should be contacted with details of how many of you guys take the time and trouble to help people in the snow and bad weather conditions and the 4x4 assisstance given to mountain rescue etc :wink:

I urge all Green Lane drivers to complain, but dont copy and paste they will ignore them if you do that as it will be spam :wink:

Hmmm, doesn't bode well does it.

Countryside getting trashed so Local government spends hundreds of thousands pounds a year in repairs
'Con-dem' Party slash local government budgets so repairs cannot take place as what little money there is will be channelled into front line services
Local government has two choices. Cease all countryside repairs and watch countryside get ruined or, and my money is on this one, ban all lanes from carrying anything with a motor (other than genuine agri) .

There are enough ticked off farmers and house owners and bobbleheads to Police this for the council.

A negative report on CF only draws the uneducated public to the conclusion that we are all hell raising louts who should be banned anyway, and most certainly an expense they don't want there tax £'s to finance.

Pay and play, can't see any other outcome I'm afraid. :cry:

Writing to the Beeb is a good idea Steve, but I would hope that CRAG and similar organizations would step in and do/say something.

I am sure they all will under the LARA flag.

The irony is a few years ago I spoke to farmers around Betws Y Coed and the three I spoke to where happy as the 4x4's kept lanes open and undergrowth back to enable them to reach sheep, as long as the lanes didnt get chewed up that was.

i just watched this, first of all you see a clip of a dozen or so 4x4s john craven states that they were trespasing, then the coper says they are there legaly, what a bad and misleading bit of reporting, i found it very biased to ramblers and horse riders...........pete
