warning to drivers

Before you set off

remove all snow that might fall off into the path of other road user.

I think the police will be taking the stance of "all items on or in the vehicle must be secured". The snow on ya bonnet or roof clearly ain't secure. I went out specially to buy a long handled brush with soft bristles so as to be able to clear the roof and not scratch the paint. Think it cost about £3 from TESCO.

eeeerrrrrr,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,sorry guys,,,dont have that problem,,,,,,,but smacks of nanny state,,,,,common sense rules every time experianced drivers know to remove snow from roof and bonnet also warms your car up quicker and you havent got 1/2 ton of snow your carrying about,,,,raising c of g and reducing fuel consumption.,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

Hmmm going to use a watering can with warm water in it - to shift it off the roof, I didn't know the Police where being that strict about it :oops:

Not sure about the English news channels, but here in Scotland, it has been on the telly box. :wink:

I have always been a believer in clearing snow and ice off all window as well as the screen and lights both front and back.

But I find the snow clears off the roof on it's own at 90 to 100mph no problem :rotfl:

I tend to just clear the 2 front side windows, wing mirrors and widscreen and leave the rest :oops:

. Last night the car was totally clear, while i was out the heavens opened and dumped it while i was towing the car trailer with my mates car on it. By the time i got to his after driving down Nottingham ring road in 4x4 as there was absolutley no traction at all my roof had a nearly a inch on it, my front number plate and lights were covered and a reasonable on the bonnet :-?

I never thought about the snow on the roof of my fronty to be honest :oops:

, maybe cos I can't see it being shorty, but seeing this I think I am going to clear the snow from my roof before setting off , as I would hate to injure anyone ..
