Re: next years meetHi all,
as a newby who has never legally gone off roading, I voted I dont care as all of this is new to me and I am gutted I was working all that weekend. Reading the responses to the time at bala, I thought the price was a very good price as most people struggle to just camp for that alone. If it was cheeper you would only lose time or quality. Would other sites keep you all entertained as bala with the amount of greenlane miles and the serious bit it has? If your looking for tradition then keep bala and introduce a new annual meet that runs a few months after and change this venue each year then you get best of both. Are camping facilites taken into account or is it a case of pee were they cant see? because i do like a bit of comfort when I go the loo

Bala 2010 Best Frontera Winner
Re: next years meetBala is a good size n field is good for camping, but there must be other places like that aswell somewhere . As for Hollymoore side its too small n not really that much fun either. Last time we went i went round, got stuck, got pulled out n got bored, its just a case of rutt, bang, rutt, bang, rutt , bang everywhere ya go so a standard fronty would be wrecked at the end off it. Bala can accomodate standard trucks too so if we went somewhere else ya would need to look at that side of it too. I like Bala but as long as we can all get together n have a giggle n a play i'm not that bothered.....but did vote Bala all the way anyway
No didn't really. Last edited by Frontycustoms on Wed May 26, 2010 11:30 am, edited 1 time in total.

Re: next years meetI voted to give others a chance as coming from quite a wee way away its would be nice to experience others that i wouldn't normally get to try otherwise. But in the end as long as its as good a laugh as tyhis years it'll be just grand!

Re: next years meetBala was great fun
but then again, I'd probably say this as it was my first one. I'll deffo go back there at some point - if anybody wants to join me, please drop me a line.Agree that there was lots to do & this for all levels (from Standard to extrem Fronty) - still haven't been in the Woods or on any of the Green Lanes around there. So don't mind going back. On the other side, I'm happy to try another site - so hopefully, we'll be seeing some nice suggestions on the 2011 thread. Having said this, I can understand that it is a bit uneasy for people when the Loo's are getting dirty and no running water is around to have a proper wash.

Re: next years meetDrumclog is massive i know the guy that orginised the smc event booked the whole site months in advance it was £35 for full weekend or £22 for the day that was camp friday sat-sun an some were still there monday morning. The site has alot to offer they were bit disapointed it was dry in some parts due to hot weather. The carpark was big enough for us we had 35 trucks with caravans ,tents an trialers an still had plenty of room. i was there for one day an was out from 10 am till 9:30pm an did nt see the whole site if look on youtube for drumclog you will see few vids some under smc an drumclog.
