next fog/frontera meet, poll

Too far for me

Too far for most people south of birmingham I would think. Shame, I would like to do another big meet :cry:

By then i shall have my baby so sounds good to me just depending on shifts and location :-)

Due to the shape of the country i.e not square or a circle you will upset a number of members at some point due to distance so why not hold another poll for sites leaving out the likes of bala so not to repeat the same and have a site in scotland (drumclog as it looks) a site down south,a site to the east a site in wales a site in north england then its down to the area members to rally support to get the meet closer to where they are prepared to travel

And don't assume people will only vote for there local area cause i for one am dying to get to somewhere new and foriegn and love the look of drumclog on youtube and wouldn't mind finding somewhere down south (devon or cornwall) either

Thats the idea, for our First big annual meet we wanted to keep it central as possible and thats the way the vote went to Bala, though no one is suggesting the same site every year :wink:

This time there is a call to Scotland as there has never been any meets of any size there and there are no greenlanes that also limits meet opportunities, next time the Southern end should have something organised but there is more scope down South for local meets as there are a few greenlanes dotted about within most peoples travelling distance.

So are we looking at the FOG Annual Meeting becoming Bi-Annual or even Tri-Annual

Ermmm a bit to much I think, but maybe a different part of the country each year ?
Or at least a different site each year... or a vote each year ... my head hurts now :oh yer:

I agree there should be more than one meet a year,but time,place is going to be a headache

I get where your coming from. Next year then for our annual meet maybe we could bring it down south abit seeing as there is going to be a scottish meet in the autumn?Just a thought , I realise that oviously it would have to be put to the vote.

Personally I will go to one big annual meet a year and lots of little meets, as said not everyone can afford the travelling or time off work, plus the big meets are fun and good to look forward to.

Just my view.

i must agree with you Ste an annual meet should be just once a year

but there is nothing stopping us getting togther for camping/off roading weekends

I think the important word in the sentence Frontera Owners Group Annual meet is.................. Annual.If large gatherings get too frequent they will "loose their shine" & may put a strain on members finances & possibly relationships.
