Road Tax Rant

You know, 20-30 years ago being a politician was risky. There was no fixed income, most were older generation with money behind them or were too old to work. Granted some were avaritious sociopaths (liked there own voice...) but most were politicians to get something sorted for their own gains or those around them.

Most politicians are now a career. You get a degree and join a party, maybe swap sides, its ok. Stand for something, well if its gonna get you promoted, I mean elected. Then we let them run the country.

ermm I have no idea sorry, but going by the way things are going up in price today, it wouldn't surprise me.. :roll:

thatcher!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! rember the poll tax, especially in scotland. thatcher my butt as for labour they created the Target Scheme now schools hospitals and like are afriad to say "Hey we have a problem" our schools are failing due to targets as unrulyy little neds are not included in the targets, and worst comes to the worst they are told "its not your fault your just angry" " here have a hug" and come back tommorrow" th3e single mother that did a couple of hours to make up her low benifits get put to jail, the mp that claims 2000grand for socks get pat on back,

SCRAP ROAD TAX

70% of the fuel price is duty(tax)

19y/o boy racer Johnny in his 1998 clio who does 30,000 miles a year.

87y/o Ernie Thompson who uses his Pug 206 once a week to do the 3 mile round trip to Tesco.

As much as everyone says fuel prices are too high, IF you added, for arguements sake 10p a litre to fuel, Those who do 30,000 a year will pay 30,000 miles worth to tax. Those who do 200 miles a year will pay that.

If you have a car and use it you pay. NO TAX DODGERS
AND the forigners will have to pay too.
As any HGV driver knows that drives in Europe. WE as a UK Driver, have to buy a vignette to travel in BeNeLux, Germany, Denmark and Sweden. They don't pay here.

I know there a lot of Pro's and Con's to this and MAYBE a duel price for Hauliers due to the amont of miles they travel or a rebate scheme upon tax
