Even the std HiLifts come with the winching attachment and even those that don't you could use some bow shackles

My winch is on the front mainly because it is used for pulling timber around and I find it easier getting in the right spot facing forwards, as for offroad there are normaly other vehicles about to pull from behind and it's nice to get to where you are going. I did look into making a de-mountable plate so I could lift the winch off the front and put it on the rear and use push fit electric connectors, but to be honest at pay and play you are never alone and if I am alone in the woods and think I will have problems then I just carry the tirfor aswell.
