Lets face it the whole program is a fun ,enterainment,light hearted show.I dont think many people will read to much into the
fact the said he was green laneing.I think people will see it for what it was.A 10 minute slot,completely staged for tv.Im suprised
the tiros went as far as it did.Lets face it 90% of the cars tested no one i know could ever afford anyway.Just like to say brill

Interesting fact - since the airing of TG on Sunday, the stats for the GLASS website have shown the number of daily visitors had quadrupled earlier this week.

At least people are interested to find out more about green laning.

TBH, I though the peice was great.. I sat there with a huge grin on face.
It became clear from the get go really that he was on private land. (to me at least)

However..... He SHOULD NOT have introduced it as Greenlaning!
Maybe 4x4 fox hunting or something! but that was not Greenlaning!
I dread to think what the Ramblers where saying about this. Probably rubbing their hands with glee!

As TG for this season is now over (there has only been like 3 episodes!!!) there seems little point.
But never the less I do urge you to complain.

Can people stop refering to tree hugging greenies as if it is some bad thing. I'm one and I go off road as and when I can and drive off road daily in my work. I try to respect and take care of the enviroment around me and create as little impact off road as possible, if we don't then the few remaining lanes open to us will be closed down.

As for Top Gear and Clarkson I think this time they got it wrong. As already stated this had nothing to do with greenlaning and private land or not this didn't do the off road community any favours, one, by giving the ramblers etc more amunition against us and two, I bet on other 4x4 forums this has caused in house squabbles.

As most of you know I am no fan of hunts and the only plus point of this feature was it highlighted what goes on around the country on a daily basis only not with just one vehicle, quads, landrovers etc driving pretty much driving where they want, doing what they want with no regard to anyone. Linking themselves with this feature won;t have done them any favours so thats good. Don't see anyone moaning about their actions or writing letters.

But hey, what do I know, I list lentil eating as a hobby on my CV

You`ve totally missed the point here, i`ll explain why i replied as i did, as its obviously gone right over your head.

I never thought i`d see a 4wd owner complain about an obviously staged and set up satirical tv programme on a 4wd forum, your rant looked like it was written by a tree hugging greenie.

Now do you get it?

Sorry mate - I think it's a bit hypocritical for you to bash someone else for being personal/rude..etc etc.....just because you have a difference of opinion, then let yourself down by writing the above statement.
Sooo if you've been brought up to respect the countryside, and feel you do respect it.... why do you have such a problem with "tree hugging greenies"
