No seriously mate, LWB loads more room, better on road handling, not an impact on MPG that Ive noticed.

SWB, more fun, more agile, take the top off!!!!

If I had just one I would keep the LWB and do sensible mods, careful off roading.

I am lucky I have 2, one is a lifted LWB, its my family car and has done some off roading. Then the SWB 2.8 thats a bit more ambitiously modded and will go most places.
If you can I would advise keeping the play toy road legal, just saves hastle. If not do a full Fuddy.

As Carl said, you wont get the money spent on the SWB back, but its all a case of what suits you.

my wife is learning to drive at the mo so i might buy her a astra or escort
something around that size and then the problem is solved i think i will try
and fix my swb if not just get a bigger engine put in it! with all these thoughts
going round in my head me and maff_25 are going to buy a old fronty and fuddy
its ass! then we have the best of both world when he gets his!! nice frontys for
small outings and a fuddy truck to go mental in!

...and eat cookies in WITHOUT othering to pick up the crumbs........those bits get everywhere if you aren't careful and can make a right mess.....best keep them out of the good car... :lol:
