Oh yeah... Not strictly my car related, but had my first go with Oxy-Acetylene (or was it Oxy-Propane??) whilst sorting out and tidying up.

Fun, in a vaguely scary way, hehe

Changed my number plate bulb.

Fitted my strop box in the boot.

Adjusted my torsion bars a little over an inch for now, probably go a little more once i fit the coil spacers on the rear. ( that was a great tip about jacking up the front, makes it much easier to turn the nuts

changed oil ,filter . new air filter . petrol filter .spark plugs , general tidy up ,i'e wash and wax .

More brake stuff yesterday, the bias valve got some attention but beginning to wish I hadn't started

Problem 1: brake pipes didn't want to come off, now gonna have to make new ones to go back to the master cylinder
Problem 2: bias valve rusted onto the mounting studs and despite using hammers of various sizes it aint coming off. Eventually drilled out the studs and it is now stripped ready for cleaning and reassembly

started to wire my cb and aux powerpoints in

had new spare tyre fitted as when i got the mistress the spare was smaller than those on the car, have received my roof mounted brake light and fuel filter ready for when it is serviced. started to polish scratches out of the car.

Yeah Jason, it was easy after I had a read at some of the posts on here

I had sprayed the adjusters with WD40 for a few days before I moved them. Measured the height and near side was at 33", offside at 32". I turned both adjusters clock-wise and raised both sides to 34". A great tip from here was to jack up the front end, takes tension off and makes the nuts much easier to turn.

Got the tape measure out on Holly this morning, as I noticed a slight feeling of claustrophobia in some of the multi-storey carparks in town. There's only one she cannae fit in currently, although the roofrack just clips the height boards on a couple. Tops out at 6'4" at the moment
Thinking if I stick 33's on, I'll need a height gauge like in my truck, hehe :lol:

just a quick oil and filter change on the truck and while i was under it give it the quick once over checking everything was ok after pay and play last week... and everything was ok, :dance:

Ripped out the alternator!! Not the easiest of jobs in the world, as I could only get in from the top.

Just waiting for Mr Courier to bring my new one, and then have to fit that. Need to get it all done by 6pm as eldest has rugby training.

Other than delivering logs and taking it past 140000 miles, nothing.
