, I never thought of dust, its rare here, though saying that its days away from October and it hasnt rained properly here for weeks :shock:

and my car is covered in dust and looks white on the top half after the weekend, just as well really as its hiding the major scratches :lol:

Fitted some new recovery points

Not the strogest, but better than the bit of coathanger that was welded on there orginally! (snapped when I purchased the car!)
Will get some proper welded ones sorted when the time is available

I picked up the clumps of mud from last weekend that where around the car then drove to work realizing I have not took any of my camping gear or anything for that matter out of the car since I got home :oops:

Stripped and cleaned both front calipers , removed the pistons and removed corrosion that was causing them to bind when they heated up - cleaned the sliders and copper slipped everything - lovely.

Stripped out my dash and instruments, re-soldered everything on the board and now have a working speedo

Replaced some duff bulbs while I was at it and fitted some new wheel locking nuts.

Today i fitted my "new" secondhand wheels and tyres

Well, this was yesterday, but time is reletive so it's not overly important.

Owing to a fuel leak when the engine is running I started to remove the fuel tank. The metal shield came of with the usual amount of brute force and swearing in at least 3 different languages.

The shield is very corroded, the straps that go over the top, one is missing and one ends about a foot short of where it should. The filler pipe is suffering rubber splitting, although this isn't causing the leak. Both the jubilee clips on the filler pipe and breather pipes are rusted to buggery. :oh yer:

Soooo, to sumerise, at this point, i need a new bash plate, filler pipe, breather pipe and several jubilee clips. the further i go the more i find....

on a plus point, the body work is looking pretty funky for an L reg :dance:

Well on the tyre hunt for 4 new tyres, for the Picasso, she got a puncture so checked all the tyres and only just legal, :roll:

Then I got fed up of leaving clumps of mud everywhere and rolled about under the car chipping it all off :oops:

Today I treated the lill white leafer to a go in matts pond....

Its dried out at the mo....so it was easypeasy...

had a go at the big V notch we dug at the end...not so easy...nearly laid it on its side!!!
No pickies as couldnt get out!!
Its amazing how far an un-lifted fronty with a bit wider track will go over... :shock:

Then fitted the 5th dirt devil to an 8j 8 spoke I had kicking around for the spare instead of the skinny silly little one...

well got the new turbo on today (what a biatch to do up the lower manifold nuts) dropped one of the alternator nuts down the bottom and too dark to find it so start again tomorrow.

drained the tar out of the sump and tried to undo the canister for the oil filter. I think charles atlas did it up cos it wont budge...try again tomorrow.

If all goes well, Angelina will be resurected tomorrow :dance:
