Do you think it was an off roading incident whereby something got caught up in there.
Be nice if I could get the son-in-law to swing it so that you could utilise his £20 annual fee to use either the 4 or 2 post in that members workshop just down the road from you (without saying the name, you know where I mean).

Today I shinned myself walking around one 2.8 lwb to get to the other 2.8 lwb.

* Yes, I know you can't really but they're big and my drive has two and a caravan.

Today, I solved the speedo rev problem of my father's frontera

Today I replaced;
Both anti roll bar drop links
Rear D-bushes
O/S top & bottom ball joints

and I'm now having a sit down!

To the truck? Not a lot, yet.... But I did make a wee 250 mile round trip in the spare truck to get a 3.1 engine and the engine swap begins tomorrow, rain permitting.

MOT passed!

Celebrating by spraying the sills!

Converted my 12n/12s towing electrics to the Euro 13 pin socket and also fitted an extended tow ball.

Replace the sagging and frankly quite disgusting headliner . Thanks to Rifleman's "how to "guide , made it a lot more straightforward than having to work out what needed removing to achieve this . Comes out and and goes back in just like the gent says

Didn't help though that a previous owner had used builders foam through the light fittings to try to glue the liner to the roof ....!!!######!!!

Word of advice though , the liner needs a lot of care when removing as it is quite flimsy and could easily snap, I did its single handed but two would have been easier .

Now have a cream liner instead of the original grey ,which is a lot brighter inside all for 13 quids worth of leatherette and a can of spray adhesive . :dance:

Drove it from Conisbrough Doncaster back to Scotland up the A1 (M) after being on holiday with the caravan.

Put a railway sleeper through the windscreen :oops:

Have now bought a trailer lesson learnt

Replaced all the hardened PVC fuel line from pump to tank , noticing along the way that they had been accidentally swapped over at some point , so the return was going in the feed . Seems to have made no difference to the running . Cold starts are still difficult, new glow plugs on the way .

I blanked off the EGR valve as my fronty was going sluggish, blowing black smoke ect. Blanked EGR off and she's sweet as a nut.

only failed on 12 points and 4 were the head lights..
not too bad for sitting for over 6 months mot moving

yesterday i recieved the parts needed for the mot, so started on them last night....
forgot how errm fun the ball joints are to change.... but only now down to 4 things left to do, just waiting for the weather to settle down

Ran the truck in for MOT, as I'd forgotten it expired 13 days ago :oops:

And it sailed through, with just a few advisories :dance:

Went out in it loaded with tools to carry on installing some gates in the middle of Canterbury.
This is only possible because much to my astonishment and delight it only needed the silencer and tailpipe renewing to pass its mot.
My mechanic said " it lives to fight another day".
Really pleased to have it hopefully for another year on the road.

Fitted heated leather seats all for the sum of £40 very happy camper

Fitted a 20" light bar and had a new set of tyres fitted.
