tweeked the fuel pump and had a fiddle with the suspension and removed the side steps not as sturdy as i want.
and next before wales egr removal and hopefully a decat if i can find time with the man that can

Well... Not strictly today but the last couple of days. Had all 4 wheels balanced, they are all spot on now and had the tracking adjusted as well.
The Old Girl goes straight and true now with no shimmy whatsoever. If it werent for the droning of the tires I would almost think I was driving a car

Swapped a few bits from the new motor to The Old Girl, Pulled out the engine mounts from the donor truck to see if they were in better condition then the existing ones but they aren't so looks like Il still need new mounts.

Cleaned the cams from the new truck and wrapped them in plenty of bubble wrap and stuck them in a box waiting to be sent off to Piper Cams to be re profiled but probably wont get round to that for a while yet due to monetary constraints.

Fired her,decided she was overfueling big style,turned off went indoors & had some cider & rock music in the company of sublu,big red fronty & Nicky

Didn't do anything to her but I did confuse a BMW driver by keeping up with him from a standing start so he couldn't cut me up

Fixed a few niggles today,

Loose door lock, tightened 10mm nut and while the card was off lubed the window runners.

Tidied up the wires for all the accessories on the dash, hard wired the cb and fixed the speaker to the dash under the fog light switches and hid all the wires.

Fixed the dodgy brake light bulb holder... I think.

Screwed the centre console lid back on.

Sorted the radio wiring up and resolderd the areal connector. (boy someone had hacked at those wires in the past).

Fitted new wiper blades.

Cleaned a load of junk out of the car.

Was going to do some big jobs but wanted to get the niggles that have been waiting months to do.

I cleaned and overhauled autohubs, they are now ready for winter time, maybe deep snow and the hunting season. :dance:

Not posted much in here recently, so here's a little update:

Some time ago I fitted a battery kill switch pull to the scuttle and so when JueOmega had the Sport to sort out it's starting problems, I asked him to wire the thing up. Jue moved the pull to drivers side, but I had to relocate it again as it fouled the wiper mechanism... bent and jammed. It all now works as it should. Also removed the radio and made a switch panel for the new kill switch:

I've also fitted the alloy grippy pedals

SInce I bought the tablet PC, I've been looking for a way to mount it in the Sport (for use when laning). I missed out on the sale of a "RAM" mount off another forum, but found something similar, with them being stocked a couple of mile up the road)

Here's the mount (the arm is detachable)

The tray is actually designed for use with a laptop:

but is easily removable to reveal a camera mount:

The arm is seriously adjustable, and whilst these photos show little room for a passenger, it can be moved so that the tray sits near enough in the center of the dash.

I need to test it out in the countryside :wink:

It's not what i did to it but where i went in it i went out to do a few lanes yesterday afternoon in the peaks and it was bloody great :dance:

Well, I washed mine yesterday, put the interior back together after pulling everything apart for the body lift the other week, and even got some photos taken...

They'll go up once I get back to work and find the cable to connect my camera and pc, heh :oops:

car decided it was going to wet itself. One of the water pipes was worn through by it rubbing against the steering box a quick bodge with a peice of steel pipe an clips till i can get another pipe.

Which one Dave?

Got the tyres on. Shame they'll have to come off again until I can get her lifted as they are rubbing something chronic when I go round corners :cry:
