pulled away from traffic lights this morning where 2 lanes merge into one, on a slight right hand bend, light rain. put my foot down in second to get ahead of a landscaping truck and the rear of the frontera started sliding. eased off the power and added some "oppo" then slid gracefully round the corner and off into the distance.

completely unintentional but i was busting my sides with laughter, 1.7 tonne drift truck

On the Travel down to the woods on Friday I noticed the car was overheating ( radiator fan wasn't working ) so everyone at the weekender spent a lot of time trying to sort it out after about 27 attempts to fit it.
So today thought I would give it one more try. So started to put it all back to the factory wiring loom. then I bridged the thermostat Switch and it fired back to life.

I have absolutely know idea how it works now but didn't all weekend.

Fitted new crankcase sensor and my Fronty is all better again!!! :mrgreen:

Bought a new one

drives as smooth as my Dti did and almost as nippy in the lower gears. One or 2 things need fixing like the starter motor and I think the clutch needs bleeding and these abit of play in the steering. Other than that so far it's mint (haven't had a look under it yet tho lol but seeing as it's a 2.5 I guess it's got a few oil leaks so the chassis should be well preserved pmsl)

Took the Trooper for its MOT and it failed...... :cry:

Nothing major but just annoying.

CV boot split on offside (annoying because I changed one on NSF last week but forgot to check OSF.

Wheel bearings noisy, so guess I will just replace.

ARB missing, now I know it should be there but so many people remove and have no issues. I removed mine because it snapped while laning in France.

On a positive point I have two weeks to sort and a trooper on my drive which I will be robbing the ARB from.

Got bored with the truck dumping it's coolant all over the engine bay, so finally bit the bullet and ordered a new water pump for Sophie this week from Milner.
Turned up on Friday and fitted it this morning, no minor dramas although I did have to suspend operations halfway through to go to the auto parts store at the end of the road for a puller. Crankshaft pulley off everything went back together alright and the car behaved nicely wall the way from Gloucester to Southampton to visit Dad.
