waterpump and cambelt change, car seems to run better and feels really good . only had one fecker of a bolt to deal with on aux pully everything else was plain sailing for a change

Today I went Green Laning, first time out for the SWB

But yesterday was a full day of sorting out a load of jobs on the SWB so I could go out today

Fitted my Aisin manual hubs
Fitted the snorkel, I had lost the original rubber pipe work so made some out of silicone hoses from eBay
Fitted plastic inner wheel arches and bolted up the wings
Made up an auxillary wiring loom and wired up the dash cam, tablet charger, phone charger, auxillary sockets
Wired up the CB and other bits in the roof console
Refitted the door seals and kick panels
Fitted extended breathers for the rear axle, gearbox and transfer box

It performed really well today, few jobs to add to the snagging list though including fitting a replacement alternator, towards the end of Strata the battey gauge jumped up to max, putting a multimeter on the battery showed 16V even with all of he electrical circuits turned on eeek!

Spent the rest of the day running with the alternator dissconnected so the battery didn't fry

Fitted the Bull Bars that came off Truck onto O-no.

Well, that was fun.... I've broken Truck

The go faster pedal decided to come adrift on the way home, or rather the bracket holding it on decided to shear off the bulkhead.... Limped home at 5mph for the last few miles.

Did tea in about 4 bites and then got onto the Truck, had to drag out the drivers carpet and footwell side trim to get at it so I could weld it back on.

Welding went well, even if it was in the dark and in the corner, the bracket is now firmly back in position....

Finding the fire extinguisher in the boot and putting out the burning inner wheel arch liner went well too :shock:

Truck now back on the road, now need a new extinguisher and a plastic inner wheel arch liner.

Last night I changed the alternator that decided it had enough and died while doing Strata on Sunday

Replaced the MAF sensor and checked all plugs and vac pipes!!!!!! Thing still playing up. :evil:

Have ordered a new Crank sensor. Should be here Friday.

Got my lovely stainless steel exhaust, fitted got home to find my plus 2 rear and standard front rough country No2 shocks from mark at mgautos sat waiting for me on my return.

So be fitting tomorrow morning

With the truck not having been out and about for near on 10 months and the MoT expired, I started about the list of jobs that will hopefully get it back into use.
First, the battery has been charged and is holding up well;
New fuel line purchased and will probably be item 3 on the to do list;
Meanwhile, in an attempt to see immediate progress and encourage continued works on the truck, I have started applying the rust treatment - at least if I can keep the orange rot at bay I will have a truck to repair.
A new tailpipe is a must but the cat/centre section join has failed - considering new bits throughout if not too costly;
The brakes will get a refurbish to ensure they are performing well then latterly to the menders for a welding job underneath and hopefully it will be good to go.

Loaded Chrissy's truck with our tools to go down the allotment and when we were cutting the hedges using Chrissy's truck as a platform steam started to come out from under the bonnet. :evil:

When i opened it to see what was wrong i found the white nylon bleed nut had sheared off leaving a piece in the top of the Rad. Because we needed to get home with the truck i found and made a bodge that i'm quite proud of!!!! :dance:

put rear lights and bumper back on ( sport ) , bled brakes and went for a short drive in it, first drive in 18 months, all on private roads of course, not t&t but insured. I now remember why I got her, cant wait to get everything sorted and a new mot :dance:

sure did, need to get everything done incase we have a bad winter, 2 yrs ago had over 3 foot of snow and I was the only person around here mobile had to help out 2 neighbours with Land Rover products! :clap:

Sourced and fitted new wiper linkage to my 1999 LWB, now with my new shiny MOT.............bring on the winter.

Glad you found a linkage bud, just sorry mine was knackerd. :thumbup:
