blanked my egr seems to idle better but only done a couple of miles, lets hope it sorted now

Good news and bad today,

Good news is my frontera passed it's mot with no advisories

Bad news is as the pass was being printed the radiator exploded so still more work to do before modifying can begin

well today i took the duck for a quick trip out and started to bed in the new rear disc's..
and when i got home checked for brake fluid leak.. and non.. so all good

Just done the tappits on Truck. They are now set to the spec 0.4mm rather than the 0.8/9mm that I found... Having never checked the tappits since I got the truck me thinks that a MINIMUM of 120,000 miles between checking them is bit excessive!

Fitted a manual switch for the rad fans , the old girl got a little hot under the collar tackling liverpool yesterday !

Removed the scuttle tray so the metal can be de-rusted then made good and refitted. I took the opportunity to remove many years worth of leaves, twigs and other vegetation from the revealed void.

That's the problem when the weathers been bad and you watch Car SOS and other car renovation programmes - you want to get the hands grubby and join in.

yesterday afternoon i decided to treat the swan
so it now has new, cam belt, tensioner, water pump, oil, oil filter, air filter, and coolant.

Truck:

Replaced the Centre Tie Rod, the ball joint on the steering gear drop arm was well loose (I had something like 15 degrees free movement on the steering wheel, the truck almost tacked when going down the road). On the other hand the ball joint on the lazy drop arm appears to be siezed solid.

Pretty near mullered a 'light truck' strength ball joint splitter getting one of the outer tie rod ball joints off the centre tie rod, had to get the impact gun on it for a few mins before it split, the joint splitter bent in the process.

Fabricating the winch bumper while the trucks in bits too.'

Removed the old green window tint then fitted a very dark black tint to the windows

Me and Audra put the dog in the back and went to the beach near penzance

just filled the truck up with 60ltrs of veggy at £8.00 for 10ltrs saving me 34quid :dance:
